I Stand Alone

One of the best things about Gina returning to school for horticulture was where she took her classes, the Chicago Botanic Gardens. I would volunteer to drive her as much as possible and I could roam the grounds in the evenings. While she studied the plants, I did my own studying. This is one such study. Against a field of yellow this pink polka-dot, individual made a stand.

Hi, Drangea

Canvas Art

I took this picture at Keeler Gardens. Early on we had planted two hydrangea plants as a natural brake on our property line. I enjoyed the focus on nature with our urban street in the background. I have always felt the purples can’t help but be the focus. It just reaches out to everyone within sight and says, “Hi!”
